During the Inkiversary, we will spotlight these changemakers. They will share with us what it takes to swim against the current day in and day out. We will engage in conversations about their visions, methods, successes, and setbacks. We'll discuss the impact that one person or a small team can have, even within large systems like healthcare. We collaborate with many social changemakers, and during the Inkiversary, we will introduce you to three of them. They will share their experiences with us on October 4, 2024.
Prof. dr. Floortje Scheepers
Floortje Scheepers is a psychiatrist and professor of innovation in mental health care. She challenges the notion that mental health is limited to brain chemistry and advocates for a more holistic, human-centered approach to psychiatric care. Among her contributions is the development of the Network Intake, a method designed to help healthcare providers adopt a holistic view of patients and their environment. Her critical thinking, paired with positive action, makes her, in our view, a true social changemaker.
Sjoerd Bakker
Sjoerd Bakker is a true changemaker in the public sector, with extensive experience in driving innovation within large, slow-moving societal organizations. With his no-nonsense, hands-on approach, he brings swift progress to processes that have often been stalled for years. He is a seasoned civil servant with broad experience in the public domain. At the Municipality of Haarlem, he transformed the neighborhood teams and is now focused on reforming debt assistance services at the Municipality of Amsterdam, ensuring that the citizens are at the center and that social workers can do what is right. Prior to this, he spent nearly 10 years working at the Legal Aid Office.
Tamas Erkelens
Tamas Erkelens is a social innovator with a focus on sustainable impact. He is currently an ‘impact versterker’ at the Dutch Design Foundation. Through the PONT program, he is working on reducing staff shortages in correctional facilities. Prior to this, he led the team that developed the first version of the COVID-19 dashboard in just five days and worked as the manager of data and design at the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport from 2020 to 2024. Tamas has led various innovative projects and teams, from prototypes to organizational transformation. He was instrumental in establishing data-driven operations at the City of Amsterdam and was a product owner at ING. As a true social changemaker, Tamas dreams big but starts small and swiftly.
