From 11 to 26 October 2025, Amsterdam Noord will transform into a vibrant playground full of films, workshops, games, and discoveries. Cinekid is the world’s largest children’s film and media festival, where curiosity and creativity take center stage. Across more than 40 locations throughout the Netherlands, children can watch films, create stories, and explore the world of media in playful and imaginative ways.
At Mensenkenners, we believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and welcome. That’s why we’re so proud of this collaboration with Cinekid. Together, we’re creating a festival where everyone feels free to participate and enjoy.
As part of the partnership, all Cinekid employees and volunteers will take our online Mensenkenners training. In this training, they learn how small gestures, mindful language, and an open attitude can contribute to a truly inclusive festival experience. It’s inspiring to see how Cinekid actively invests in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
Inclusion isn’t an abstract goal, but a shared responsibility. It becomes visible when organizations join forces and strengthen one another. Through our collaboration with Cinekid, we’re working on awareness, connection, and practical steps that make real change possible — not only during the festival, but beyond it as well.
