All days, Strijp-S
Today we’re not serving burgers or fries, but the menu of the future: Joy, Convenience and Cost (Geluk, Gemak en Geld).
These three “flavours” shape what ends up on our plate every day, from a quick snack to the weekly groceries haul. Pleasure, togetherness, ease and a fair price often outweigh health or sustainability. Fast-food chains understand this better than anyone and have turned it into their winning recipe.
But what if we used those same forces to make better choices also more appealing?
As long as healthy alternatives don’t align with what people enjoy, find easy, and can afford, they’ll lose out to the pull of fast food. Imagine if cravings, good value and ease led you instead to food that tastes good, is good for the planet and fits your budget.
An amazing deal no one can refuse.
Step into our fast-food chain of tomorrow and discover how smart temptation works.
Experience how design influences choices and leave your own take-away behind for a menu that’s good for you and the world.
This interactive manifestation is part of the exhibition Designing Society and presents the outcomes of Co/Lab: Hungry for Change, developed under the creative leadership of Barbara Vos and Ink Social Design, in collaboration with Rabobank, Pilot Duurzame CAO Rijk (Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations), S+T+ARTS Hungry EcoCities, the Province of North Brabant, and Dutch Design Foundation. The manifestation is produced together with On Show / Sarah van der Giesen.

Anyone working toward a healthier, more sustainable food system sees many promising initiatives — and also how persistent our eating habits are. Despite all the effort, we still consume too much sugar, fat, animal protein and salt. How do we truly change course?
In this workshop we show how design can enable new eating habits. With the 3G method we make visible what drives our choices:
We’ll share insights from our research, inspiring examples and practical tools to influence behaviour, so you can translate your understanding of people and the power of design into more impact.

We encounter it often in our work: people in the public domain know things must change, but not always how. There’s urgency, commitment and energy but the path forward is still foggy.
That moment, when the question isn’t fully defined yet, is incredibly valuable for designers. It’s where we can explore together, test, and reframe the question. That’s why, together with PONT – De Publieke Ontwerppraktijk, we’re hosting the workshop ‘Is your question a design question?’ during DDW 2025.
A practical session for anyone working on societal challenges and curious about what design can add. We’ll explore how a design perspective can support complex change processes and when it’s the right tool to use.

Join Ink founder and director Anna Noyons for a tour of the highlights of Dutch Design Week.
Together, we’ll explore projects that show how design contributes to social change: from food to care, from systems to stories.
We’ll end with a borrel to continue the conversation.
A DDW ticket is required to join the tour; the meeting point will be announced soon.
Whether you have an idea for a project, are facing a challenge where design could help, or are simply curious about what we’re working on — we’re there every day and happy to make time to meet.
Send us an email and we’ll schedule a moment.
